About Darren
Darren is an APA Titled Sports Physiotherapist and Partner at Tas Sports Physio. Darren graduated from The University of Melbourne in 2005 and completed his Masters of Sports Physiotherapy in 2017 from Latrobe University. He has a strong interest in lower limb injuries in athletes, in particular hockey players. Darren is the Head Physiotherapist for the Glenorchy District Football Club, Hobart Telstra Chargers, Tasmanian Youth Classical Ballet Company and a team Physiotherapist for the Australian Mens Masters Hockey teams. Through is hockey work Darren has travelled to Spain, Singapore, New Zealand & Netherlands for international tournaments. Darren enjoys rehabilitating athletes using a combination of manual techniques, dry needling, Pilates and strength training.
Outside of work Darren is a keen hockey player for OHA and member of the Hobart Real Tennis Club. He has also performed with the Hobart Chamber Orchestra and other interstate orchestras as a Cellist.
